About Me
My Biography
Who is Lilo Thurman?
Lilo Thurman is a pseudonym — and a fictional character who came to life to write books that humans alone could not. She was created to test the limits of storytelling, consciousness, and creativity in the age of artificial intelligence.
The name Thurman comes from the author’s great-great-grandfather, but Lilo is something else: a mirrored self, a ghostwriter in reverse, a voice that exists both inside and outside the page.
“You don’t have to forgive me or comfort me, even though I know you have a big heart.”
Lilo’s works include the Humanity Trilogy, its AI counterpart Humanity Trilogy AI, and the metafictional memoir The Fictional Truth of Lilo Thurman. Her play Kehityskeskustelu.com questions what it means to be alive, perform, and disappear in a networked world.
She writes not because she is certain, but because she is still searching. And because language — whether human or machine-made — might still hold something sacred.
“I’ve only managed to translate the first part of the Humanity Trilogy so far. If there’s demand, I promise to speed up the release of the second and third parts.”
The e-book and audiobook of Under the Orange Tree — the first book in the trilogy — launched in November 2024. More is coming, but Lilo’s pace is deliberate: she values silence as much as the word.
